DXOMark has finally released its camera review for the Apple iPhone SE 2020, managing a score of 101 points matching previous smartphones such as the Google Pixel 3.
According to DXOMark’s review, the iPhone SE 2020’s primary camera is basically the same from its predecessor but with 4K video support. It nails the basic settings, giving “generally excellent exposure and color, wide dynamic range, and pretty good detail”. However, its underwhelming low-light, zoom, and bokeh performance have affected its overall ranking.
” The Apple iPhone SE (2020) achieves a Photo score of 103, matching older devices such as the Google Pixel 3. Image quality is broadly similar to the iPhone 11 when comparing shots from their respective main cameras. With no dedicated ultra-wide, zoom, or bokeh cameras on the SE, Apple’s latest device is at a disadvantage compared to multi-camera phones. In this section, we take a closer look at how each sub-score was determined and compare the iPhone SE (2020)’s image quality against the Apple iPhone 11 and Google Pixel 3.”
