Like OnePlus with McLaren, OPPO has partnered with Lamborghini once again for their flagship’s special edition. Inspired by the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster, this year’s Lamborgini Edition has mated both performance and elegance. Check out our initial thoughts on the OPPO Find X2 Pro Automobili Lamborghini Edition.
In true Lamborghini nature, the back is made of a four-layer carbon fiber texture covered in contoured glass to match the curves on a Lamborghini’s body. While it may not have an additional effect on the device’s aerodynamics, it does add to its grip. The rear cameras module has also been changed, and now sits in a hexagonal lens frame, with gold accents – just like the Lamborghini insignia at the bottom of the device.
With a body like this, you can’t just slap on a regular case. Thankfully, OPPO provides a special case made of microfiber leather case in bronze and black carbon fiber.
At the front sits the same great 6.7-inch Quad HD+ OLED display that curves aggressively on the sides, with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection. It can run on 120Hz even on the highest resolution, with a 240Hz touch response rate. The front camera is housed in the same punch-hole module as well, located in the upper left corner of the device. The earpiece, which acts as a secondary speaker, is also located on the top bezel.
On the left side, you’ll find the volume rocker, while the gold-accented power button is located on the right.
The top is bare, save for the two antennas and noise-canceling mic. Meanwhile, the SIM tray, USB Type-C Port, and speaker grille sit at the bottom.
Under the hood, the OPPO Find X2 Pro Lamborghini Edition still sports the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.0. The front and rear cameras are also similar, as well as the 5,260mAh battery with 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 Flash Charge support.
In this year’s limited Lamborghini Edition flagship, OPPO took an already premium device to the next level. The device, packaging, and accessories have all been redesigned, and aesthetically, they’ve hit the mark. Sadly, OPPO won’t be launching the device officially in the Philippines but it is available in China for CNY 12,999 or around PHP 91,000. Stay tuned as we go more in-depth in our OPPO Find X2 Pro Lamborghini Edition Review.
