Google adds another Filipino-related Doodle to its gallery, commemorating the Philippines’ King of Comedy Dolphy.
Dolphy’s Google Doodle was in time for the late comedian’s 92nd birthday.
Google has shared the concept for Dolphy’s doodle. Check out the photo below:
Born on July 25, 1928, Rodolfo Vera Quizon Dolphy got his first acting stint on a movie at 19 years old. However, he first appeared on television 1960s series “Buhay Artista”. He starred over 200 movies and multiple long-running TV series including the 1970s hit John en Marsha.
He became a household name after playing the impoverished yet hardworking father and husband John Puruntong on the said sitcom. The show ran for 17 years and produced nine spin-off films under his own production company due to its popularity. His career continued soaring when he got the role of the single father Kevin Kosme in Home Along Da Riles. It aired on ABS-CBN from 1992 to 2003.
