More establishments, including internet shops and fitness centers located in areas under General Community Quarantine (GCQ), will be allowed to open by August 2020.
As shared by the Department of Trade and Industry Secretary Ramon Lopez shared on the report of the Philippine Star, the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) approved DTI’s recommendation the reopening of review centers, gyms, personal grooming services, pet grooming services, drive-in cinemas, and internet shops. The said establishments should only allow 30 percent of its normal capacity and must observe health and safety protocols mandated by the agency.
Internet cafes, meanwhile, will be opened as schools shift to blended learning. On the other hand, review centers may only accept a maximum of 10 students per room and should sanitize their facilities regularly. The students are required to wear face masks and observe a one-meter distance between classmates.
President Rodrigo Duterte will also announce a new community quarantine classifications for August 2020.
