realme 5i
First in the list is the stunning realme 5i launched in January. The smartphone is powered with an octa-core Snapdragon 665 chipset with clock speeds up to 2.0GHz, mated with Adreno 610 GPU, 3GB of RAM, 64GB of storage. Expandable up to 256GB via microSD slot, the smartphone currently runs on Realme UI based on Android 10. Upfront is a 6.52-inch HD+ IPS display with a mini-drop notch while at the back are the fingerprint scanner and quad-rear cameras. As a basic gaming smartphone, the realme 5i has a 5,000mAh battery that’s rechargeable via micro-USB port.

realme 6i
Released in May, the realme 6i is the most affordable smartphone on the 6 series. It sports holographic vertical lines on its back, designed by Japanese industrial designer Naoto Fukasawa. Onboard is a MediaTek Helio G80 chipset with clock speeds up to 2.0GHz. Just like its previous successor, it has a 6.5-inch HD+ display, quad rear cameras, and Realme UI as OS. However, it adds an 18W wired fast charging support. It comes in two configurations with up to 128GB of storage and 4GB of RAM. If you’re on a tight budget and aims to spend less than PHP8,000, then the base variant is for you.

Redmi Note 9
Xiaomi recently dropped its much-awaited smartphone, the Note 9 series. Boasting flagship-like specs at an attractive price point, the Redmi Note 9 is powered by Mediatek’s latest Helio G85 octa-core processor. It has a Game Turbo mode for boosting the performance of the smartphone during gameplays, and a 5,020mAh battery with 18W wired fast charging support. For the memory, it has up to 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, which is expandable via microSD slot.

Xiaomi adds another unit to its budget-friendly Redmi series. Sporting a 6.53-inch FHD+ display with a peak brightness of 400 nits, the Redmi 9 offers an above-average screen for its price range. Huawei Y6p
Rolled out two months ago, Huawei’s budget phone offers a plethora of improved features for its class. Users may download some games via Huawei’s AppGallery, unlock the smartphone via fingerprint scanner and facial unlock, and is powered with an octa-core MediaTek MT6762R processor.

OPPO A12
Last but definitely not the least is OPPO’s newest entry-level smartphone, the A12. With a 6.22-inch HD+ display, it is powered with a 2.3GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 processor. Under its hood, it has 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The smartphone runs on an outdated ColorOS 6.1 based on Android 9 and has a 4,230mAh battery.
