Ideal for business professionals, influencers, prospective employees, freelancers, and professionals, the feature serves highlights an individual’s existing website and social media accounts, as well as other information such as occupation, educational background, location, and a short description of yourself.
The initiative is to optimize the browser’s Search function for finding reliable information.
A Google account is required to create a People Card. Users need to sign in, type “add me to Search” on the mobile browser’s Search bar, tap Get Started, upload a photo, fill up the People Card, and save it. They may also preview the card before publishing.
To protect and maintain the quality of the information in the latest feature, only one card is allowed to be made on a Google Account. Users are also required to authenticate the account with a valid number. Netizens may also report a person’s card or delete their own.
The new cards also make it quick and easy to find the right person. Those who share the same name gives multiple card results, helping those who are browsing distinguish the different individuals they are looking for.
