Canon cameras can now backup pictures to Google Photos

Google, together with Canon, has made it possible to leave your cables or adapters at home for you to easily upload pictures captured with your DSLR or point-and-shoot camera straight to Google Photos.

This is all possible through the latest version of the image.canon.app (available on Android or iOS). Just connect the compatible Canon camera to the app and it will directly back up the pictures to Google Photos over WiFi. This is convenient for photographers as it eliminates the need to plug your camera to a PC or take out the SD card.

To be able to take advantage of the feature, make sure that you have a compatible Canon camera, an updated image.canon.app, and large cloud storage in Google One.
