Samsung introduces AI-powered laundry lineup

Samsung Electronics announced the launch of its new AI-powered smart laundry washing machine, the WW9800T, alongside an innovative bottom-mount freezer (BMF) refrigerator, the RB7300.

The new WW9800T washer brings together Samsung’s newest technologies that cut down on wash times and energy consumption. With Samsung’s QuickDrive technology, it allows the WW9800T to cut washing time up to 50% and energy usage by 20%. It allows a more dynamic action, cleaning garments more thoroughly in less time. Equipped with Samsung’s EcoBubble, it maximizes the effect of detergent by turning it into soft bubbles – allowing faster penetration into fabrics, even in cold water.

What makes the WW9800T stand-out is Samsung’s reliable performance when it comes to artificial intelligence that learns the users’ behavioral patterns to recommend cycles and offer a more personalized laundry experience. The AI Wash feature also helps ease doing laundry by using sensors to detect the laundry load’s weight and soilage, determining the optimal amount of water and detergent to dispense. All of the appliances in Samsung’s new laundry lineup are compatible with SmartThings, offering users control over laundry settings from their smartphones.

Launched alongside the WW9800T is the bottom-mount freezer (BMF) refrigerator, the RB7300. The new RB7300 is equipped with Samsung’s SpaceMax technology that allows the interior walls of the fridge to be much thinner, offering a larger internal capacity of 385L – 18 liters larger than the previous model.

The WW9800T and RB7300 will be featured at Samsung’s Life Unstoppable virtual event on September 2, 2020. Both will be available later this year starting with the European market and will be rolled out through-out selected countries such as the CIS region, China, the Middle East, Latin America, and Korea.
