Lenovo Yoga 9i, Slim 9i now official

Lenovo has recently announced its holiday lineup of premium convertibles under the Yoga series, the Yoga 9i, and the Yoga Slim 9i.

The former is available in 14-inch and 15-inch displays and has up to 10th Gen Intel Core i9 HK-Series processor and up to NVIDIA GTX 1650 Ti  GPU with Max-Q Design.

The 14-inch variants of the Yoga 9i and the Yoga Slim 9i come with a black leather cover bonded with an aerospace-grade, aluminum chassis that finalizes its premium look, edge-to-edge Glass Palm Rest, a fingerprint-resistant Smart Sensor Touchpad for a clickable area, an Ultrasonic Fingerprint Reader (for Yoga Slim 9i), as well as two Thunderbolt 4 ports and 18 hours of battery life (for Yoga 9i).

Embodying its name, the Yoga Slim 9i has a thickness of  13.9mm and weighs at only 1.26 kg. It is equipped with up to 14-inch 4K touchscreen IPS display with VESA DisplayHDR 400, 90 percent DCI-P3 color spectrum, and a maximum peak of brightness up to 500 nits. It adopts yet improves rotating soundbar design from the Yoga C940, optimizing the speakers’ placement in the hinge and adding a larger sound tunnel. It has an electrical shutter switch, built-in IR camera with Windows Hello and Lenovo Smart Assist for hands-free log-ins and automatic screen-locking when you walk away, three Thunderbolt 4 ports, 63.5WHr battery with Rapid Charge Express that can last up to 20 hours, Bluetooth 5.1, and Wi-Fi 6.

The Yoga 9i, on the other hand, has up to 15.6-inch 4K IPS VESA DisplayHDR 400 or 3D Curved-Edge display options with 500 nits of brightness. It is equipped with up to 16GB LPDDR4 RAM, up to 2TB PCIe SSD storage, dual-front speakers, discrete graphics, Lenovo Q-Control’s AI-powered Intelligent Cooling, Smart Sense Keyboard that automatically adjusts backlighting based on ambient light, TrueBlock Privacy Shutter, two Thunderbolt 3 ports, and up to 13 total hours of battery life. 

Both are equipped are powered by the next-gen Intel Core processors with graphics based on the Intel X architecture, as well as features Dolby Atmos-tuned speakers, Dolby Vision, Windows Ink, a garaged active pen (with an elastomer nib on the Yoga 9i), supports Super Resolution 2.0 for auto-upscaling videos up to 4K, as well as voice assistant Alexa.

The Lenovo Yoga Slim 9i is available in Shadow Black (leather) while the Lenovo Yoga 9i has three colors: Mica Grey (metal), Slate Grey (metal), and Shadow Black (leather).

Pricing and availability are yet to be announced. However, the convertibles are slated to launch on or before Holiday 2020.
