To simplify the terms, the refresh rate commonly found smartphone and monitor displays are the number of times the screen displays a new image every second measured in hertz. Choosing higher refresh rates displays means smoother scrolling for multitasking, as well as reduces screen tearing for mobile gaming and streaming.
