Soundpeats Watch 1 Hands-on

When you hear the brand Soundpeats, the first things that come to mind are audio products, and that’s normal. What some people won’t know though is that they have ventured into other fitness-centric products, and one of them is the affordable Soundpeats Watch 1. Check out our initial thoughts below.

One of the first things we noticed about the Soundpeats Watch 1 is how premium it is considering the price (which we will discuss later). It’s small but has a metallic frame with a single button on the right side.

It has a 1.4-inch 320 x 320 color touch screen on the front and is mounted by curved glass. It’s got thick bezels, though, but the screen has decent resolution and nice colors.

Underneath it is the heart-rate sensor and magnetic pins for charging.

The replaceable silicone strap is thick with a smooth finish. It’s also light, weighing only at 54g.

The Soundpeats Watch 1 also boasts an IP68-rated body, meaning you can take it with you for a shower or swimming.

Before you can use the Soundpeats Watch 1, you’ll need to download the Soundpeats SPORTS app on Android or iOS. You’ll need to register an account, then scan the QR code on the smartwatch to pair via Bluetooth 5.0. The whole thing just took about 10 minutes, so it’s not cumbersome.

From there, you’ll be able to tweak some of its settings, including call reminder, app reminder, sedentary reminder, Do not disturb, SMS reminder, On-screen time, time system, and device language, as well as upgrade the firmware. It will also provide you stats like heart rate, sleep record, and distance traveled when running or biking.

As for its activity-tracking feature, it supports twelve sport modes: jogging, fast walking, biking, climbing, spinning, yoga, indoor running, integrated training, gymnastics, basketball, football, and rowing. No swimming, though.

If you’re wondering if it had downloadable watch faces, sadly it doesn’t, and you can only choose from five pre-installed watch faces.

Aside from that, the Soundpeats Watch 1 has built-in practical tools, like weather updates, a music controller, breath training, stopwatch, countdown, and alarm clocks.

As for the battery, it is equipped with a 260mAh battery which Soundpeats says can last up to 10 days of normal use. Charging, on the other hand, will take 2 hours.

The Soundpeats Watch 1 is a no-frills smartwatch/fitness tracker that delivers the essentials and then some. It would have been nicer if it had downloadable watch faces. The good news is, it doesn’t cost a lot and can be purchased for PHP 1,590.

The Soundpeats Watch 1 is available at Digital Walker and Beyond the Box stores, as well as Lazada and Home Office.
