Amazon new Echo, Echo Dot, Echo Show 10 now official

Amazon officially announced its new set of Echo devices featuring the Echo, the Echo Dot, and the Echo Show 10.

The new Echo sports the combination of the Echo and Echo Plus into a single device. Featuring a new design, it is powered with Amazon’s first-generation AZ1 Neural Edge processor for running machine learning applications. It has powerful inference engines that can run quickly on the edge through a neural speech recognition model that can process requests faster, making Alexa even more responsive. It comes with a fabric finish and a bright LED light ring at the base of the sphere. The new Echo is equipped with a 3.0-inch woofer, dual-firing tweeters, and Dolby processing that provides stereo sound with clear highs, dynamic-mids, and deep bass. The new Echo can automatically sense acoustics on space and automatically tunes audio for it. It includes a smart home hub with support for Zigbee, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), and Amazon Sidewalk.

The new Echo is available in color options Charcoal, Glacier White, and Twilight Blue.

Meanwhile, the Echo Dot bears the same form factor as the Echo. It comes with the same enhancement from its older sibling. However, it is compact with a smaller 1.6-inch, front-firing speaker, producing crisp vocals and balanced bass for a full sound. It is also available in three variants: the regular Echo Dot, Echo Dot with an LED display for displaying time, alarms, timers, and temperature; and Echo Dot Kids Edition.

The Echo Dot Kids Edition, on the other hand, sports with Panda and Tiger prints. This version comes with Alexa’s custom-built commands for kids, animal sound alarms, help kids with homework, initiate calls to approved friends and family, and extensive controls safe for children. It also has a function that allows parents to create Alexa voice profiles for their kids, making Alexa automatically shift to a kid’s profile after recognizing the kid’s voice. It has a new feature called Reading Sidekick which can help kids build fluency and develop reading. The Echo Dot Kids Edition also comes with a 1-year Amazon Kids+ subscription with child-friendly Audible books, interactive games, and educational skills. It also has a 2-year warranty.

Last in the list is the Echo Show 10 that features a 10-inch, rotating HD display powered with a silent brushless motor. This allows movement tracking during video calls and watching videos, keeping the screen in the user’s view. It sports a 13-megapixel, wide-angle camera for video calls that allows panning and zooming of the subject, Alexa Group Calling for calling up to eight friends and family members, and dual, front-firing tweeters. The Echo Shows 10 is equipped with dual, front-firing tweeters, a powerful woofer, a built-in smart home hub for connecting devices, and the AZ1 Neural Edge processor. It can also rotate as users watch the news, flash briefings, or TV shows from Hulu + Live TV and Prime Video.

Soon, the Eco Show 10 will support Netflix, Zoom, and Amazon Chime video conferencing for hands-free controls.

The Echo Show 10 is available in Charcoal and Glacier White.

The Echo, Echo Dot, Echo Dot with clock, and Echo Dot Kids Edition are now available for pre-order through the Amazon store and will be shipped later this year. Meanwhile, the Echo Show 10 will start shipping in time for the holidays. Customers may sign up to be notified when the Echo Show 10 is already available through the Amazon website.
