Ookla has revealed Globe’s LTE Consistency Score for Metro Manila is at 81.30 for Q2 2021.
At the beginning of this year, Globe continues to ramp up its mobile network speed in the National Capital Region by installing 212 new cell sites in Metro Manila alone. Scoring at 81.30 in Ookla’s latest LTE Consistency Score, it has made significant improvements as compared to Q2 2020, where it reached only 53.96.
“We aspire to bring the best service to our customers and give them an elevated mobile experience. Since last year, we have made significant strides to bring our Consistency Score to the level of other providers in the world. We encourage our customers to upgrade their 3G SIM cards to 5G-ready 4G LTE SIMs and upgrade their devices to 4G LTE to further enjoy the benefits of our network upgrades,” said Ernest Cu, Globe President and CEO.
To recap, the Mobile Consistency Score measures the number of customer data transaction incidence (viewed as a percentage) of a provider’s samples equal or exceeds both a download threshold of 5Mbps and an upload threshold of 1Mbps.
