A teaser was posted on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Twitter page which shows us a glimpse of their incoming next generation of wearable chipset for smartwatches.
As of now, their latest wearable SoC is the Snapdragon Wear 4100+ which is built on a 12nm process and has a new co-processor to help it handle more background processes such as sensor input and sound. The Snapdragon Wear 4100+ is actually the improved version of its predecessor Snapdragon Wear 3100 Platform in which it showed better performance and improved battery.
There’s not much information from the Tweet of Snapdragon but one thing is certain Qualcomm is not backing up on the wearable chipset arena in the smartwatch industry.
