A video posted on YouTube showcased Samsung’s next-generation folding smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2.
Based on the concept video, the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 will sport three 120Hz, HDR10 AMOLED displays, a 6.6-inch main, 5*0.8-inch mini, and an 8-inch display that can either be set in laptop mode (at 120°) or tablet mode when unfolded.
Under the hood, the Galaxy Fold 2 runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 chipset paired with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. There’s also an in-display fingerprint scanner and liquid cooling to help keep temps low when under heavy use.
Instead of sticking five cameras, Samsung has developed a rotating camera system with three cameras, including a 108MP main, accompanied by a 12MP and 20MP shooter.
The Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 runs on a 7,000mAh battery with 65W fast wired charging, wireless, and reverse charging support.
The design concept video also showed that the Galaxy Fold 2 is expected to be launched in September 2020, for USD 2,000. Stay tuned for official announcements, teasers, and details. Check out the video below:
