Nikon Z5 full frame mirrorless camera announced

Nikon has announced the Z6 and Z7’s more affordable brother, the Nikon Z5.

The Nikon Z5 features an FX-format 24.3 megapixel CMOS sensor paired with Nikon’s EXPEED 6 image processor. It has an ISO range of up to 51,200, expandable up to 102,400 with a 5-axis in-camera stabilization. Its capable of shutter speeds up to 1/8000, reaching up to 4.5 FPS, with full AF/AE. Speaking of Auto Focus, there are 2731 on-sensor AF points with Eye-Detection AF capabilities.

As for videos, the Nikon Z5 can capture 4K UHD at 30FPS or 1080p at 60FPS. It’s equipped with a PDAF system, an in-camera VR image stabilization, and electronic VR to eliminate shake while shooting.

Its chassis is built with magnesium-alloy, with a weather-sealed exterior. It’s also equipped with a 3.2-inch tilting touchscreen monitor and a 3.6M-dot Quad VGA Electronic Viewfinder.

The Nikon Z5 will be available starting August for a suggested retail price of USD 1,399.95, a one-lens kit with the new NIKKOR Z 24-50mm f/4-6.3 for an SRP of USD 1,699.95, and a one-lens kit with the NIKKO Z 24-200mm f/4-6.3VR lens for an SRP of USD 2,199.95.
