MediaTek Helio G95 now official

MediaTek introduces its latest gaming chipset for premium smartphones, the MediaTek Helio G95.

The latest addition to the MediaTek Helio G Series family sports an enhanced MediaTek HyperEngine game technology, multi-camera support, unrivaled connectivity, and AI Super-Resolution for video streams.

It features advanced multi-camera photography support up to four sensors, shoots videos on 24MP +16MP camera at 30FPS, takes photos on up to 64MP main camera,  as well as enables depth engines for real-time portrait bokeh, AI face detection, MFNR, Warping, 3DNR, and video encoding and decoding at 4K 30fps. Moreover, it also has dual wake-up word support and enables from HDR10 to  HDR10+ in real-time through MiraVision.

The MediaTek Helio G95 also sports a pair of Arm Cortex-A76 CPUs with a clock speed of up to 2.05GHz, plus six Arm Cortex-A55  CPUs. The chipset also has an integrated Arm Mali-g76 MC4, operating at up to 900 MHz for advanced single and multicore performance, and an independent AI processing unit (APU).

Additionally, the chip is also geared with an ultra-low-power, always-on DSP that supports dual wake-up word detection, ensuring seamless concurrence between two parallel Voice Wakeup (VoW) functions. The ultra-low power DSP lessens power consumption of applications such as the always-on Google Assistant and supports multiple keyword triggers and voice assistants.

To ensure a smooth and lag-free connection during gaming,  the chipset has Wi-Fi & LTE concurrency, which can be triggered within 13 milliseconds.

MediaTek’s newest chip also has an AI Super Resolution display that supports video calling and video streaming on various platforms like Netflix, Hotstar, Amazon Prime, and TikTok. It upscales videos up to 720p HD resolution, saves the network bandwidth by up to 75%, and sports FHD+ 90fps displays for fast responsiveness and smooth experience.

As a gaming-centric chipset, the Helio G95 showcases MediaTek’s HyperEngine Game technology for longer gameplay, better picture quality, and reliable connectivity.

MediaTek did not disclose more details about its availability. However, the processor will be found most likely on future premium gaming smartphones.
