Globe partners with Commission on Higher Education (CHED) to offer free data access for Globe and TM subscribers to access quality educational resources for teachers and students through their online learning portal – PHL CHED Connect.
PHL CHED Connect is an online learning platform developed by CHED to maximize the use and boost the availability of educational materials for self-learning at home. Moreover, it also supports multi-modal approaches to learning.
The portal provides higher education course materials in text, media, and other digital resources useful for teaching, learning, and research purposes. It covers humanities, architecture, business, engineering, IT, mass communication, criminal justice, agriculture, forestry and fishery, and others.
The PHL CHED Connect can be accessed through mobile phones, tablets, or personal computers for free. However, links outside the website may incur standard data charges.
Globe also shares that the accessibility of content extends across elementary, junior high school, senior high school, and alternative learning students, as well as those taking up technical and vocational courses under the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
Previously, the telco provided free data access to DepEd’s online learning platform and TESDA Online Program for educators and learners to adapt to digital learning for the new normal. Globe also offers its own eLibrary which has over 1,000 free eBooks titles and e-Learner videos for both students and teachers which can be viewed and downloaded without data charges for Globe and TM users.
