Google partners with Dashboard Philippines, an online platform that maps out medical facilities that need supplies and tracks donation drives, to provide real-time and more credible related to COVID-19.
Now powered with Google Cloud and Google Maps, Dashboard Philippines’ website shows more detailed information and latest updates for Filipinos related to COVID-19. Changes in the information are also now updated in real-time. The information includes checkpoints, donation centers, open establishments, shuttles for essential workers, and hospitals that have available beds, among others. Previously, the website was developed by volunteers and collects publicly available information from trusted resources to consolidate them into one online platform.
Providing free credits to Google Cloud Platform, the developers now run the website for free. This enables the developers to focus on building new features and enhancements to the app. Along with the free credits on the Cloud Platform, Google also gave Dashboard Philippines free API credits to Maps.
For efficient relief operations, users can now locate donation drop-off points from Dashboard Philippines in Google Maps and Waze.
