Angkas offers free rides for healthcare frontliners

Angkas is currently offering free rides to healthcare workers in Metro Manila who are affected by the public transportation ban under the Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ).

As posted on its Facebook page, the motorcycle taxi provider requires medical frontliners to bring their own helmet with full-visor, straps, and proper regulatory stickers (full-face, quarter face, modular, or dual sport) and facemask. Frontliners should also present their IDs to be picked up for free rides. Failure to show their IDs to the biker may result in the cancellation of the ride in person.

To avail of the free ride, they should fill-up the form here. Angkas will be collecting the healthcare worker’s name, contact number, address, and shift schedule for its database. This is to ensure that they will be the first ones to receive updates regarding the company’s initiative for health workers. Rest assured that their data will be kept safe and confidential.

Hospital administrators may also set up a terminal inside their facilities. However, they would need to coordinate with Angkas by sending an email to  support@angkas.com.
