Google has recently added a new privacy feature under its Files app.
Dubbed as the Safe Folder, it protects personal and important files such as documents, images, videos, and audio files placed on a secured, encrypted folder. The folder requires a 4-digit PIN before granting access to the user and is securely locked as soon as you leave the Files app and even when the app is running in the background.
Google’s Files is a mobile file management app that allows users to monitor their phone’s storage and save more space on their phones by removing duplicate or junk files.
The Safe Folder feature is now rolling out in beta on select countries. It will be available globally in the next few weeks. Files by Google is available for download in Android devices.
