realme Buyer’s Guide: Which device is for you?

There are plenty of smartphone brands in the market, and of the most popular right now is realme. Not only they have a wide-range of offerings from entry-level to mid-range, they also have accessories to compliment your device. If you’re looking at getting a realme device but don’t know which one will fit your needs, let us help you in this guide.

Smartphones

Affordable daily drivers

realme is known for offering affordable devices with specs that punch above its weight class. In this segment, we have three models to choose from.

First, we have the realme C11 priced at PHP 4,990, sporting a 6.5-inch HD+ display, MediaTek Helio G35 CPU, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, dual-rear cameras, 5MP front camera, 4G connectivity, large 5,000mAh battery, and realme UI based on Android 10.

Given the specs and price point, this device is a solid daily driver for basic tasks like browsing the web and social media platforms, as well as a partner for online learning needs.

Next, we have the realme C3 at PHP 5,990 which sports a 6.5-inch HD+ display, MediaTek Helio G70 CPU, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, triple-rear cameras, 5MP front camea, 4G connectivity, 5,000mAh battery, and realme UI based on Android 10.

So, if you want a device that has a better CPU, bigger RAM, and extra camera compared to the C11 for an extra PHP 1K, then this is the one to get.

Got another extra PHP 1K? Why not take a look at the Realme 5i for PHP 6,990. This is one of those smartphones with an entry-level price for mid-range specs. It has a 6.52-inch HD+ display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 CPU, 3GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, quad-rear cameras, 8MP front camera, 4G connectivity, large 5,000mAh battery, and ColorOS 6 based on Android 9 Pie but can be upgraded to realme UI based on Android 10.

If you have a bigger budget, want to play some games and into mobile photography. Then this is the phone for you.

Budget gaming

Since we mentioned gaming, you’d want something more powerful than the previously mentioned device, but at the same time still affordable. If that’s the case, there’s the realme 6i. It has a 6.5-inch HD+ display, MediaTek Helio G80 CPU, qua-drear cameras, 16MP front camera, large 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charge, and realme UI based on Android 10.

It comes in two models: 3GB + 64GB for PHP 7,990, which is for those with light to moderate needs, or 4GB + 128GB for PHP 9,990 for those who have heavier multitasking needs and take a lot of photos and videos.

All-around mid-range

Let’s move up the PHP 10K mark and dive into realme’s more powerful mid-rangers. If you want an all-around device (good display, performance, cameras, battery life) without breaking the bank, we have the realme 6.

This one sports a 6.5-inch Full HD+ display with a smooth 90Hz refresh rate, Corning Gorilla Glass, MediaTek Helio G90T CPU, 64MP quad-rear cameras, 16MP front camera, 4,300mAh battery, and realme UI based on Android 10. It comes in two variants 4GB + 128GB for PHP 11,990, and PHP 13,990 for the 8GB + 128GB.

This device is perfect for those who want to have a device that can game, do photography, will last long, and has one of the best displays in its class.

Premium mid-range

They say that if you want more hardware, you have to pay the price. realme says otherwise though with the realme 6 Pro. We’re calling this a premium mid-range but the price didn’t even go above PHP 17K. It’s at a competitive PHP 16,990.

For that price, you’re already getting a 6.6-inch Full HD+ display with 90Hz refresh rate, Corning Gorilla Glass 5, Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G CPU, 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, 64MP quad-rear cameras, 16MP front camera, 4,300mAh battery with 30W fast charge, and realme UI based on Android 10.

Based on the hardware, the realme 6 Pro is the best mid-range phone you can buy right now from realme’s lineup, and without a doubt, one of the best mid-range phones in the market.
