The Chicago Blackhawks have signed forward Jason Dickinson to a two-year contract extension, the club announced on Tuesday.
Dickinson, 28, will earn $8.5 million, for an average annual salary of $4.25 million per season, according to the team.
A native of Georgetown, Ont., Dickinson is in the final year of a three-year deal that earns him $2,650,000 per season.
Originally drafted 29th overall by the Dallas Stars in 2013, Dickinson was eventually traded to Vancouver, then later to Chicago in October of 2022. In 404 NHL games, he has 53 goals and 72 assists, for a total of 125 points. His 14 goals this season are already a career-high and have him on pace for his best year in the NHL.
