The Edmonton Oilers recalled forward Dylan Holloway from AHL Bakersfield on Saturday, creating the possibility he plays in Saturday’s Battle of Alberta.
Holloway, 22, has not played for the Oilers since Nov. 13, when he suffered an undisclosed lower-body injury in a game against the Islanders. The 20th-overall pick in 2020 was then placed on long-term injured reserve before being sent down on Jan. 4. He collected two goals and two assists in four games with the Condors. The Calgary native had one goal in 14 games with the Oilers before his injury.
To make room for Holloway, the Oilers sent forward James Hamblin down to Bakersfield.
The Oilers face the Flames in Calgary for the first time this season. That game can be seen at 10 p.m. ET / 8 p.m. MT on Sportnet and Sportsnet+.
