All-new Hyundai i20 gets two massive 10.25-inch digital displays

The all-new Hyundai i20 looks rather sleek and sporty, we’d say. The first images of the new hatch were revealed only recently, but the said images only showed the car’s exterior. Fortunately for us, the Korean carmaker has now released more photos of the next-gen i20, and this time we finally get a look inside.

The thing here, though, is that only the front row has been shown in the photos. That said, the biggest upgrades inside the cabin are here, anyway, so it’s okay. And by ‘biggest upgrades’ we mean the two massive 10.25-inch digital screens fitted up front—one is a digital cluster behind the tiller and the other an AVN (audio/video/navigation) touchscreen mounted front and center on the dash.

The color of the cluster changes depending on the drive mode: blue for Normal, green for Eco, and orange for Sport. The AVN display, on the other hand, offers Hyundai Bluelink Telematics and Hyundai LIVE Services connectivity. The latter provides info on real-time traffic situations and weather updates, nearby fuel stations and fuel prices, among others.

In addition, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility are now also available. Sound is then delivered by a Bose audio setup comprised of eight speakers and one subwoofer, so expect fine audio quality with this vehicle.

As we said, Hyundai didn’t show us photos other than the one above, but it did give out a few more details on the inside of the i20.  Those lines you see, the ones that stretch from one end of the dash to the other, are the air vents. Ambient lighting then provides those blue accents seen on the side panels and the floor. This dark-themed cabin is also slightly customizable—Black Mono and Black & Gray trims are available here.

So, do you like the all-new i20’s interior? Tell us what you think in the comments. You can also check out Hyundai’s other recent reveal, the facelifted i30, by clicking here.
