PH-made KTM 390 Adventure will be available in May for P309,000

Finally, the much-awaited KTM 390 Adventure will be available on the Philippine market in two months’ time.

Dino Santos, president of Adventure Cycle Philippines (KTM Philippines), said the first batch of locally made KTM 390 Adventures will make its way to the showrooms in May 2020, and the model will have a standard retail price of P309,000. He added that reservations are already being made by interested buyers.

Aside from the 390 Adventure, the Ayala-owned motorcycle manufacturing plant in Laguna will start producing the KTM 790 Adventure and 790 Adventure R, as well as the Husqvarna Svartpilen 200, Svartpilen 401, and Vitpilen 401. The units produced here will be for domestic consumption and for export to China and some countries in the ASEAN region.

KTM Philippines has exported around 70% of the 10,000 combined units of the 200 Duke, RC 200, 390 Duke, and RC 390 that have been produced at its Laguna plant.

Local production of the 390 Adventure began just three months after the model was unveiled at the EICMA motorcycle show in November 2019. The lightweight, dual-purpose machine is powered by a 373.2cc fuel-injected, liquid-cooled single-cylinder mill that is almost the same as that of its road-oriented sibling, the 390 Duke.

It also comes with LED lighting, Bybre brakes, a five-inch color TFT display with Bluetooth integration, traction control, cornering ABS, and a slipper clutch. A quick shifter is optional. The model will be available in two color schemes: white and orange.

These are exciting times for the local motorcycle industry, right? Are you one of the buyers who have already made a reservation for the 390 Adventure?
