Honda is about to make S2000 owners the world over jump for joy.
The Japanese car manufacturer recently put up a website not-so-conspicuously named the ‘S2000 Parts Catalog,’ which is set to go fully live in June this year. We think this pretty much speaks for itself.
Unfortunately, other than the website header, a date, and images of the iconic roadster plastered all over the page, Honda has provided no other information on the parts that will be offered to owners once the online catalog launches. There’s a reason for this.
It looks like Honda is turning to actual S2000 owners for input regarding what parts it should offer online. To do this, the company is asking people to post their preferred parts on Facebook and Twitter with the hashtag #S2000partscatalog from now until April 30, 2020.
Honda is hardly the first carmaker to restart the production of parts for classic nameplates. Earlier this year, Toyota announced that it would begin reproducing spare parts for the A70 and A80 Toyota Supra, and in 2018, Nissan’s Nismo Heritage Parts Program began offering exterior, powertrain, electrical components for the R33 and R34 Skyline.
The manufacturer says it will make an announcement on the website come May 2020. If you or anyone you know owns an S2000, get to posting on social media. Excited for this?
