“How many turbos can you pack underneath an Isuzu D-Max’s hood?” No, this is not a hastily made-up car joke. This is, in fact, is a legitimate question a builder in Thailand asked himself one day and turned into a personal challenge.
The result is simply jaw-dropping. Look:

The answer to the question above? Five turbochargers. You can fit five turbochargers underneath the Japanese pickup truck’s hood. CB Media recently shared a video of the ridiculous ride on YouTube, and boy, is it something to behold.
Unfortunately, we don’t get much else out of the video. We see that the special D-Max runs on nice bronze Volk Racing wheels, comes equipped with a 3.0-liter four-cylinder turbodiesel Isuzu engine, has gigantic brakes, and flaunts a pair of nitrous tanks on its bed. The interior is pretty much run-of-the-mill, save for a racing seat and custom steering wheel.
Other than the information above? Nada, thanks to the obvious language barrier between the personnel at the garage and the YouTube channel’s host.
Fortunately, we don’t need much more to appreciate a truck like this. The mere sight of five turbos, shiny and chrome, angrily popping out of this thing’s hood is enough to bring a smile to our faces.
