Geely donates 20,000 surgical masks to DOH to help fight COVID-19

It’s always good news for all of us when big names in the automotive industry chip in to help in the fight against the COVID-19 outbreak.

Through local distributor Sojitz G Auto Philippines Corporation, Geely Holding Group and its chairman Li Shufu’s foundation (Li Shufu Charity Foundation) have just donated 20,000 surgical masks to the Department of Health (DOH) in support of our healthcare workers during this pandemic.

The company’s statement reads: “Giving close attention to the country’s fight against COVID-19, Geely Holding Group has expressed its commitment to support the Philippines in every way possible by providing medical supplies that are urgently needed for the pandemic disease prevention and control.”

Geely joins several carmakers here in the Philippines—such as Isuzu, Mitsubishi, Toyota, and Volkswagen—that are lending a helping hand during these trying times. Whether it’s donating medical supplies or lending out their vehicles, we’re sure these companies’ efforts will be of great help to our frontliners in battling the spread of the coronavirus.
