Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro:
- Corning Gorilla Glass 5

- Bigger battery capacity with 50W fast charging, 30W fast wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging
- Super VC Liquid Cooling
Display
For the display, both the P40 Pro and the Mi 10 Pro sport a sizeable Full HD+ display with the latter being an inch bigger, however, the former has a slightly higher resolution. For display protection, the Mi 10 Pro sports a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 while the P40 Pro doesn’t mention any special glass protection. Both devices support 90Hz refresh rate.
Performance
Both devices are powered with the latest 5G flagship chipset from Qualcomm and HiliSilicon. But the Mi 10 offers Super VC Cooling system for better thermals during heavy usage. They also both offer an initial 8GB + 128GB configuration; however, the Mi 10 Pro offers a 12GB LPDDR5 RAM RAM and a 512GB UFS 3.0 + Write Turbo variant. Both have expandable storage, but one must have to sacrifice the other SIM slot.
Cameras
Both devices come with a quad-camera setup. On paper, it’s apparent that the Mi 10 Pro trumps the P40 Pro with its whopping 108MP F1.69 main camera, but the latter offers a higher 40MP ultra-wide lens and a 32MP selfie shooter with an IR Depth camera. Both devices also come with a 12MP telephoto lens, with the P40 Pro offering a TOF sensor and the Mi 10 Pro with an 8MP short telephoto lens.
Connectivity & Other Features
Connectivity-wise, both devices come with 5G SA/NSA, 4G LTE, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, and GPS. They both also have NFC, IR blaster, and dual SIM (nano-SIM) support. As for protective features, the P40 Pro is equipped IP68 water and dust resistant which the Mi 10 Pro lacks.
OS
Now for OS, both devices are running on the latest Android 10 each with their own respective skins; EMUI 10.1 for the P40 Pro and MIUI 11 on the Mi 10 Pro. As we all know, Huawei handsets are not using Google Mobile Services anymore and are now running on Huawei Mobile Services. The Mi 10 Pro, on the other hand, has GMS built-in.
Battery
In terms of battery, the Mi 10 Pro has a higher 4,500mAh capacity over P40 Pro’s 4200mAh. The former supports 50W wired fast charging, 30W fast wireless charging, 10W reverse wireless charging while the latter comes with 40W SuperCharge technology with 27W Wireless Charging and reverse wireless charging.
Both devices offer amazing specs: great displays with 90Hz refresh rate, powerful flagship processors, and decent battery capacity each with their own fast charging technology. However, if you’re leaning towards the camera capabilities of a smartphone, the Mi Note 10 might be more enticing if you look at it on paper. But then again, the higher the camera resolution doesn’t necessarily mean that it produces better image quality.
And there you have it. Which of these two do you prefer? Share it with us in the comments down below!
