Volkswagen PH lends out three Crafter units to help transport healthcare workers

Add Volkswagen Philippines of AC Motors to the list of carmakers chipping in to help battle the COVID-19 outbreak.

The company recently shared with us that on March 18, 2020, it provided three Volkswagen Crafter units to FamilyDOC of AC Health for the entire duration of the Luzon-wide quarantine. Volkswagen also provided drivers for each unit.

The vehicles are currently being used as transport for healthcare workers to and from different FamilyDOC clinics in light of the total ban on public transport brought about by the enhanced community quarantine. The doctors and nurses are picked up at select locations and shuttled to their respective clinics. The units were also used to deliver supplies such as food, alcohol, and other personal protective equipment to the various medical facilities.

Earlier this week, we reported that Toyota Motor Philippines has also lent out some of its fleet vehicles to support frontliners both in and out of Metro Manila. These are the kinds of efforts we love to hear about, and kudos to these carmakers for giving our medical personnel the support they badly need at the moment.
