Mitsubishi lends L300 units to DOTr, Santa Rosa LGU for transport of frontliners

As our country enters the third week of the Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine, the local automotive industry continues to support the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic through various initiatives.

Mitsubishi Motors Philippines (MMPC) announced over the weekend that it has lent two Mitsubishi L300 units to the Department of Transportation (DOTr) to be used in transporting healthcare workers, support staff, and other frontliners between Muntinlupa City and Santa Rosa City in Laguna. In addition, two more units were provided to the local government of Santa Rosa for the transport of frontliners within the city.

A maximum of 10 occupants—nine passengers and the driver—will be allowed in each L300 shuttle at any given time, to observe strict social distancing.

“Mitsubishi Motors acknowledges the sacrifice being done by our frontliners,” said Mutsuhiro Oshikiri, president and CEO of MMPC. “From the people in the medical field, [to] our uniformed personnel, food and service crew, security guards, and other support personnel, we salute your bravery, selflessness, and dedication in protecting our communities from this virus.”
