Here’s a bit of good news for the Beatles fans out there: The iconic Abbey Road crosswalk, currently devoid of pesky tourists because of the ongoing coronavirus scare, has received a fresh coat of white paint.
According to a report by CNN, the ongoing UK lockdown because of the coronavirus gave municipal workers the perfect opportunity to give the tourist attraction a proper makeover. On normal days, this would be impossible due to the countless tourists and fans milling about the area.

Several days ago, the UK government barred citizens from leaving their homes unless absolutely necessary. The police were instructed to disperse public gatherings and hand out fines and penalties to those who refuse.
"From this evening I must give the British people a very simple instruction—you must stay at home," UK prime minister Boris Johnson, who has since tested positive for the deadly COVID-19 virus, said as he announced a lockdown. “Because the critical thing we must do is stop the disease spreading between households.”
The UK currently has over 14,000 recorded COVID-19 cases, with more than 150 recorded deaths.
